These past few months have been a unique challenge for all of us as circumstances beyond anyone's control have caused us all to rethink what is 'normal' and how to balance the health and safety of our community with the desire to serve as a positive, stabilizing force as we are confronted with so much uncertainty.
It is with these considerations in mind, and with a heavy heart, that we are announcing the cancellation of Omaha Beer Week events for 2020 and begin immediately planning for how we can continue our mission next spring.
However, the spirit of Omaha Beer Week 2020 will not be slowed because of this decision. It is our commitment to you and to our members that our planned dates of June 12-21 will now serve as a rallying cry to support local craft beer and local business. We encourage everyone to celebrate Omaha Beer Week 2020 through, safely, buying local craft beer in stores, ordering to-go food and drinks, purchasing gift cards, or even visiting certain locations for dine-in service where possible.
Please continue to follow us on our social media channels @omahabeerweek to stay updated on ways you can support our members or reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions you may have.
Through all of this we remain as committed as ever to our mission of supporting local craft beer, and we look forward to seeing all of you when we are able to return in 2021. In the meantime, remember to think global, and shop local.
